“Bee Prepared” Skills for Cooking with Home Storage     $120.00

In six weeks you will be the king or queen bee of your home storage kingdom.  Take the stress out of learning to use your long term storage items through a series of instruction, demonstration, tasting and take-n-makes focusing on the following:  Wheat, Oats and Sugar, Rice and Pasta, Powdered Milk, Oil and Seasonings. 

 

Preparing to Leave the Nest                  $65.00

We have had many requests from parents and young people alike asking for a series of classes to help prepare youth who are leaving home.  Here it is… the first 3 classes on making the launch from the nest a success!  Kitchen Know-How,  Housekeeping Heros,  Money Management.

“Charm School”                                      $65.00

Becoming a charming young lady can be fun and exciting.

The Charm School classes are designed to help girls ages 14-16 successfully navigate their way through the ins & outs, dos & don’ts, and facts verses fiction of proper behaviors with confidence.  

She will be on her way to developing the grace, charm, and poise that are universally admired.

The first 3 class series will include:

 - Love Being You… body imaging, make-up, wardrobe

 - Saying It With Style… language, conversation, corresponding

 - Manners Do Matter… top 10, execution, benefits

Bring your date and join us for instruction, food and fun!  We will be sharing grilling techniques, delicious recipes and clever presentation ideas for your Fall tailgate parties.

 

Dinner on the Go!                                       $25.00

It’s 5 PM, time for family dinner!  Wrong!  It is often time for dance, soccer, math tutoring, music lessons, etc., etc.  This class is designed to assist Moms in avoiding the “drive thru” dinner and creating great foods that can be consumed on the go.  With a few meal plans, some make-a-head recipes, nifty containers and a little fairy dust you will transform the dinner hour dread into dinner hour delights!

 

Sensational Slow Cookery                         $25.00

Dust off our slow cooker.  We have some great tips, recipes and tastings that will bring your family back to the dinner table.  Soups, stews, sandwiches, side dishes and savory main dish recipes to please the pallet.

Nothing says Fall like Soup… A steamy bowl or mug of soup is the perfect comfort for the chilly weather ahead.  When it comes to soup, “homemade is bestmade”, it beats canned or packaged hands down.  During this class you will learn the importance of good stock as a foundation for your soups, tempering cream soups, pairing veggies with grains and adjusting seasonings.  You will love our soup buffet.  We hope it is chilly that day.

We think cooking together as a family is one of the best ways to bring the family back to the table.  Sharing ideas, learning skills, and working together will build unity and enthusiasm for family meals.  This class is the perfect jump start for Mother and Daughter/or Son (ages 11-14) to begin working together in the kitchen without the prep or clean up!

The 2 part class will begin with preparing your kitchen to cook, menu and shopping plans, food preferences, (yes, we will be tasting) and recipes.  The second class will focus on skills and techniques, to create and present a dinner that athe class members will enjoy together.
